The Alberta Law Review is published quarterly by the Alberta Law Review Society, a nonprofit group of law students from the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary. The Alberta Law Review has been published continuously since 1955 and is the successor to the Alberta Law Quarterly which was established in 1934. The objective of the Alberta Law Review is to promote legal research and scholarship and to provide a forum for the discussion of contemporary legal issues. The Alberta Law Review now has a total Canadian and international circulation of over 2000.

The Alberta Law Review is grateful to the Law Society of Alberta, the Faculties of Law at the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary, and to its patrons and advertisers for their ongoing encouragement, support and assistance.

The Alberta Law Review is currently exploring its options regarding online publication. As such, we would like to request your participation in assessing the viability of this option. If you have any questions regarding the survey, please do not hesitate to contact Ellen Hong or Lora Lee at (780) 492-5559 or via e-mail at editors@albertalawreview.com. The Alberta Law Review is proud to present the legal community with its latest online endeavor: the Alberta Law Review newsletter. Published quarterly, the newsletter will provide academics and practitioners with a preview of each upcoming issue of the Alberta Law Review.

The Alberta Law Review is pleased to introduce a new, moderated forum for legal debate: the Alberta Law Review Online Symposium. This new forum will be a place for legal scholars, practitioners and students to discuss and debate contemporary legal issues. Please visit the forum to discover what enquiring legal minds are thinking about right now. If you would like to make a submission, please email editors@albertalawreview.com.
